THY KINGDOM COME - Ascension to Pentecost


A call from Archbishop Justin Welby inviting Christians around the world to pray for people to know Jesus Christ.

Local events include:

Ascension Day 25th May
        St Botoph's, Chevening: In addition to services at 9.15, 12.15
        and 7.15pm, there will be seven prayer stations around the
        church - drop in for a few minutes - or longer.
        St Mary, Kippington:   Praise and Prayer at 7.30pm

Friday 26th May
        St Luke's Church: A Chain of Prayer 9.30 - 7pm including
        Midday Meditation 12 - 12.30pm and followed by
        Compline at 7pm

Saturdays 27th May and 3rd June
        The Drive Methodist Church:  Silent Prayer 9.30 - 10am  
       Guided Prayer 10 - 10.30am

Monday 29th May (Bank Holiday)
St Peter & St Paul, Shoreham: Iona Morning Prayers
DURING THE 10 DAYS, A REFLECTIVE PRAYER TRAIL AROUND THE CHURCH, STARTING IN THE PORCH

Tuesday 30th May
        St Nicholas Church: Prayer Gathering at 8pm

Friday 2nd June
        St Thomas of Canterbury –  prayer, reflection & music  8-9pm
        St Peter & St Paul Seal
        Two days of prayer at Seal Church on 2nd and 3rd June from 9am
        to 9pm, with reflective prayer stations in church, and small
        services at 9am, 12noon, 5pm and 9pm on both days. Postcards
        being spread around the parish and through its organisations
        inviting people to let us have their prayer requests either on the
        postcard or by email or twitter with the hashtag
        #sayoneforme @sealpandp. 
        Revd Anne Le Bas will be in church to pray with people for an
        hour after each service, and an hour before the final one of
       the day.
